Can I arrange finance for a portable home?
Finance options may be available through third-party providers, subject to lending approval and provider terms. We can point you toward available finance options, but approval depends on the lender’s criteria.
How long does a portable home take to build?
Standard production is usually around 3 to 4 months, depending on the model, custom options, production schedule and delivery planning. We confirm expected timing before you proceed.
Are your portable homes relocatable?
Yes, our portable homes are designed to be transportable. Relocation still needs proper planning, including access, transport, service disconnection/reconnection and any local requirements.
Do you help with delivery and installation?
We help with delivery and site guidance. Foundations, service connections and consent-related work should be completed by suitably qualified local trades, engineers or LBPs where required.
What foundation does a portable home need?
Foundation requirements depend on your site, soil, model, local council requirements and intended use. Common options may include piles, pads or concrete foundations, but an engineer or qualified local professional should confirm what suits your site.
Do these portable homes come with a warranty?
We offer a warranty of 3 years for structural components and 1 year for fixtures, fittings and finishes, in line with NZ consumer law. Normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, and damage from natural events or extreme weather are typically not covered. We also provide 10-year after-sales support, including help sourcing replacement parts where available. Final warranty terms are confirmed in your quote or sales agreement.
Do I need council consent for a portable home?
Consent requirements depend on your site, intended use, foundation type, services and local council rules. We recommend checking with your local council or a qualified professional before committing. We can provide available documentation to support your planning.
Can I add off-grid solar to my portable home?
Yes. Off-grid solar and battery packages are available for portable homes, lifestyle blocks, rural sites and areas where grid connection is expensive or limited. The right system depends on your power usage, location and appliances.
What do you need from me for a fixed quote?
Send your site location, preferred model, intended use, delivery access details, layout changes and any upgrade options such as decks, cladding, insulation or off-grid solar. This helps us prepare a clearer fixed quote.
Do your homes include ventilation?
Yes. Heat-recovery ventilation is included as standard — not an optional extra — on our 20ft, 30ft and 40ft homes, the Horizon, the 40ft Glass Front, and every Apple Cabin. It draws fresh, filtered air in from outside and recovers heat from the air leaving your home, helping reduce condensation and damp while keeping your warmth in. (The only model without it is The Cabin.)
